Do you have what it takes to obtain an NCLEX License if you are a foreign-educated nurse?
Good news! You may be eligible to take the NCLEX! If you graduated from a foreign country, you will need to complete a State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Obtaining credentials evaluation from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS)
• Taking an English proficiency exam
• Obtaining official certificates/review of foreign nursing education
However, regulations and requirements regarding internationally educated nurses vary for each state’s board of nursing. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information regarding NCLEX application.
Nurse Candidates do not need to be U.S. citizens to take the NCLEX, however, there are some states which will not allow candidates without U.S. Social Security numbers to apply for licensure or obtain NCLEX license. It would be up to a non-U.S. citizen to find out from the board of nursing whether either of these situations apply. Contact us for more information regarding NCLEX application.
