To continue our discussion from NCLEX STUDY TIP #1, as you’re trying to figure out the correct answer on a question, the second step you should do after you have applied the "first action rule" is to consider the choices based on the following criteria:
Safety of your client, the nursing protoccol, and Maslow’s order of needs. As a general rule, you can use this strategy and the "first action" rule to know the right answer to a particular NCLEX question.. This can eliminate the other options much more quickly and zero in on the correct answer.
